The use of intra oral scanners for removable prosthodontics

Andrew Cameron currently holds the position of Lecturer in Dental Technology at Griffith Universities School of Dentistry and Oral Health, Australia. He teaches in the undergraduate Bachelor of Dental technology and Dental Prosthetics program as well as undergraduate and post graduate dentistry programs. Andrew has a keen interest in maintaining and keeping up with the current trends in digital dentistry. He utilizes digital technology techniques both clinically and technically for removable prosthodontics in both a teaching, research, and in a clinical context. He is currently confirmed in an enrolment of a PhD with a topic investigating intra oral scanning and 3D printed materials from an in vitro and in vivo context for removable prosthodontics. He is also clinically active seeing his own patients for removable prosthetics one day a week within Griffith Universities 96 dental chair clinic. He completes all his own laboratory work. This allows him to be able to apply the latest techniques and materials.
